The North Coast Regional Plan (NCRP) 2036 will oversee the growth of the North Coast region for two decades and will cater to liveability, employment, housing and environment. The Plan will cover the Far North Coast and Mid North Coast. Part 2 will focus on the local government areas of the Far North Coast.

The Central West and Orana Regional Plan 2036 outlines growth for the region and will help shape LGA’s, with NSW Government working with local councils to achieve the overall goal of the plan.

Part 3 examines the LGA’s of Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western Regional, Narromine, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Warren, Warrumbungle and Weddin LGA’s.

By 2036, the vision for the Central West and Orana region includes creating more economic diversity and maximising opportunities across the region. The NSW Government has identified two parts of this region being:

  1. Connectivity to major metropolitan cities on the east coast; and
  2. Maximise benefits of freight and logistics infrastructure to improve productivity to domestic and worldwide markets.

The government have created four goals in their Central West and Orana Regional Plan 2036.

The Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan (GNMP) 2036 was released by the NSW Government and will work within the overarching Hunter Plan 2036. As part of the plan Catalyst Areas were identified and recognised for the role each area plays at local level in providing housing, infrastructure and employment opportunities. There are 11 catalyst areas within Greater Newcastle.

The plan defines Catalyst Areas as a ‘place of metropolitan significance where a planned approach will drive the transformation of Greater Newcastle as a metropolitan city’.

The Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan (GNMP) 2036 was released by the NSW Government and will work within the overarching Hunter Plan 2036. The Plan covers Greater Newcastle which includes Cessnock City, Lake Macquarie City, Maitland City, Newcastle City and Port Stephens.

The GNMP 2036 will support and direct growth across the Greater Newcastle communities going forward to achieve the goals and vision of the plan.

The Central Coast region’s future will be guided by the Central Coast Regional Plan 2036 (CCRP) and covers Central Coast local government area (LGA). The plan is based on four goals to ensure the region grows and prospers by 2036 HPS Outlook Central Coast Part 1 focused on goal 1 and Part 2 will examine the remaining goals.

The Central Coast region’s future will be guided by the Central Coast Regional Plan 2036 (CCRP), which maps out the region’s future growth over the next 20 years. The CCRP covers Central Coast local government area (LGA) which was previously known as Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council.

The plan is based on four goals to ensure the region grows and prospers by 2036.

The Illawarra Shoalhaven is an integral part of NSW and contributed almost $24 billion the NSW economy in 2019. The government has released the Draft Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan 2041 to maximise productivity and prosperity moving forward.

The plan is based on four themes to help achieve the 30 objectives identified to guide growth for housing, employment, infrastructure and the environment across the region. Part 2 will focus on the final three themes.
