Over the next 20 years, Western City District will benefit from significant investment and government collaborations to provide infrastructure, education to underpin future economic growth and support an increasing population. This will help to achieve the goal of the Greater Sydney Region Plan which aims for residents to live within a 30-minute radius of a metropolitan centre/cluster.
The Western City District Outlook has been divided into two parts due to initiatives in progress or planned for the region. Part two will focus on metropolitan clusters and strategic centres across the district.
The region includes the local government areas (LGA’s) of Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith and Wollondilly.
